Week 13 Blog - April 24th

Questions:

-What did you learn this week?

To start the class we went back to the plunger push activity, trying to figure out why the plunge sticks to the table. We found that the plunge sticks to the table when being pushed because the air trapped between the table and the plunge gets pushed out leaving a pressure inside the plunger to the table. This week we also learned more about melting and condensation. We looked at different online simulations to create our prediction and made a flip video at the end of discussion to share with the class our ideas. My group personally did the melting ice!

-What parts did you find clear and what did you find confusing?

I found everything clear this week! Nothing confusing.

-How can you apply this in your future?

I can apply this in the future as I can use both activities, the melting ice on wood and metal, and the condensation with a cold drink in a summer day, and allow my students to also make a video explaining the "why".
